It's easy to be confident and productive when everything is going well— the stars align and everything you touch turns to gold.

But sometimes it feels like the world is against you: on days like that, it’s tempting to hide or procrastinate.

The fear of failure is real, but don’t let it stop you. So what should you do? Start small Make a list Don't Multi task

Schedule your focus time

Remember why you are doing the job

5 Tips to get you through.

1.Start small.

Sometimes, it is easy to simply get overwhelmed with everything. Just start on what you need to do – even if you don’t know how to finish it. You’ll work it out. As Confucius said, “The man who moves a mountain begins by carrying away small stones.”

2. Make a list. Write down what you need to do, by when, and why. It helps you focus and often makes the task feel more achievable. And they key thing about that list - identify what are the most important things to do and start with those rather than the order in which you wrote things down.

3. Don’t multitask. Humans are not really built for muti-tasking, despite what others may what you to believe. Focus on one task at a time. Multitasking makes everything take longer. If priorities change—say, a client has an urgent request—adjust your list, then return to it once the new task is done.

4. Schedule your focus time. Set aside dedicated time each day for those important tasks. Use your calendar and reminders to stay on track.

Find your most productive hours—morning, afternoon, or evening—and protect that time. Some of us are better in the morning, others later in the day. Use what works best for you.

5. Remember why you are doing this job

Remember why you became a broker in the first place.

Think about the good things you love about your job and why you love helping clients

Because you are very good at it. And remind yourself that you ARE good at the job.

Overcoming hurdles

The mortgage market is changing and will continue to throw challenges at us all. But don't lose momentum and keep going even when thigs get tough. Remember, when the going gets tough....
