Mortgage Marketing Training & Mentoring.
Better thinking. Greater confidence. Stronger marketing.
Marketing is about more than knowing the tools and techniques. It takes creative thinking, commercial understanding, people skills and the confidence to make good decisions.
I provide bespoke training for mortgage marketing teams and one-to-one mentoring for marketers at every stage of their career. Whether you want to build your team's capability or develop your own, we'll focus on what will make the biggest difference.
Training For Teams & Individuals
Every team is different. So rather than delivering off-the-shelf training, we'll start with what you want to achieve and build a session around it.
Topics include:
-
Getting more from events - what to do before, during and after an event, and how to measure its value.
-
Recognising your team's strengths - understanding what people already do well and building on it.
-
Creative thinking - practical ways to generate ideas that stand out and make a difference.
-
Understanding how brokers think - exploring the attitudes, motivations and behaviours that influence broker decisions.
-
Turning insight into action - using what you know about your market and customers to make better marketing decisions.
-
Mortgage marketing fundamentals - building a stronger understanding of the market and what effective marketing looks like.
I've also delivered training in email marketing and other areas of mortgage marketing. Tell me what you want your team to do better, and we'll shape the training around it.
One To One Mentoring
Practical support, with someone who has worked in the market since 1997, from marketing manager to Marketing Director.
New to marketing or the mortgage market
Find your feet faster. Understand how the market works, who the players are and where marketing fits, and build your confidence.
Managers building capability
Lead a team, make better decisions and handle the pressures of a busy function.
Heads of marketing and senior marketers
Build the commercial skills and influence to be taken seriously at the top table.
How Does Mentoring Work?
1. Let's talk. We'll have an initial conversation to understand what you want to achieve and whether mentoring is the right fit.
2. Agree what works for you. We'll decide how often to meet — typically fortnightly or monthly — and whether sessions are online, in person or a mix of both.
3. Make each session count. We'll agree what you want to focus on, but the agenda can change as new priorities or challenges emerge.
It's a confidential space to ask questions, explore ideas, challenge your thinking and work out your next steps.
Why Jeff Knight As Your Mentor?
Early in my career I worked alone as a Marketing Manager for 3 years. I learned a lot, but it was tough. Lonely at times. I relied a lot on my agency support to bounce ideas around.
Later in my career, I benefited from an Executive Coach. Not quite the same as a mentor, but having someone to talk to gave me that different perspective helped so much. And I would always come away from sessions saying "I wish I had known that earlier in my career."
Now I give the benefit of my own hindsight and foresight to help marketers through my mentoring.
